Company History
Tradesur is the vision of two Caracas-based engineers and its genesis lays in Venezuela's joining the World Trade Organization (WTO), circa 1987. At the time, Andres Bonomie and Lelis Gonzalez worked as industrial construction contractors, specializing in power transmission lines and substations. With ten years of experience working with governmental agencies such as EDELCA, CADAFE and PDVSA, and corporations like ABB, CEGELEC-ALSTOM, SADE/SADELMI and SAE, these young men recognized the need to import the quality equipment and machinery needed to get the job done.
By 1995, Tradesur had established offices in Venezuela and the Dominican Republic, and had became the exclusive export representative of several US and European manufacturers. Tradesur's San Diego, CA office was established in 1995 to better serve its customer base, and to deepen relationships with American manufacturers. Today, Tradesur, Inc. has served as export manager to more than 23 clients in 04 different countries, has exclusive export distribution agreements with 14 different US/European manufacturers and posted '05 revenues in excess of $4 million (USD).
